Six digits are the primary identifier
Korean listed securities use six-digit numeric codes. Leading zeros matter: Samsung Electronics is 005930, not 5930.
Share classes and products
A similar company name may represent a common share, preferred share, ETF, ETN, REIT, or SPAC. Always confirm the full security name and exchange.
- Use the ticker when company names are translated differently.
- Preferred shares may have different voting rights, dividends, and liquidity.
- ETFs and ETNs are products, not operating companies.
