RESEARCH TRANSPARENCY

Research and signal methodology

How Polaris Korea labels sources, calculates technical setups, uses AI, and separates market data from editorial context.

Data hierarchy

Kiwoom Securities supplies Korean quotes and chart history. OpenDART is the authoritative corporate-filing source. Naver and Kakao/Daum surface public news and community sources. Every interface should distinguish live, last-session, reference, preview, translated, and editorial information.

Technical setups

MA, EMA, Bollinger Bands, Volume MA, RSI, MACD, Stochastic, and VWAP calculations use the current bar and earlier bars only. They do not inspect future bars. A marker describes a technical condition, not a recommendation.

  • RSI measures recent momentum, not intrinsic value.
  • Signals can remain wrong or early during a fundamental repricing.
  • Transaction costs, liquidity, tax, and USD/KRW can materially change a U.S. investor's result.

Material-event gate

Recent company news and available OpenDART filings are screened before a security receives research priority. Clinical failure, regulatory rejection, trading suspension, delisting risk, audit or solvency failure, fraud, and core-product withdrawal can withhold a technical setup. Missing evidence is labeled unverified, never assumed safe.

AI assistance

DeepSeek may translate, summarize, classify sentiment, explain cited evidence, or organize research candidates. Deterministic source and event rules remain separate from the model. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and must be checked against linked original sources.
